The Space Squadrons Stellardate: 2998 line of miniatures was produced by Grenadier Miniatures between 1978 and 1982.  Grenadier is no longer in business and though some of their other lines of minis have been sold to other companies and are still available, this line has never reappeared though printable 3D models can now be found.

Andromeda Alien Invasion Fleet The invasion fleet from Andromeda have travelled a long way to get to known space so their fleets often include Fleet Refuler ships.  Their ships have lower thrust than those in other fleets and their average hulls are supplemented with light armour.  Beam weapons have wide arcs to supplement their heavy missiles.  Point defense is above average as both major fleets used missiles as main weapons.  They are the only fleet that has an Attack Carrier that allow their fighter/gunboats to be used for offensive strikes instead of local defense like the other fleets.
